A great follow up to the award winning 2002. This single vineyard wine is crafted from hand picked and hand pruned low yielding vines. It is an intensely aromatic wine with lifted lime and orange blossom scents. Concentrated and persistent citrus and tropical flavours on the palate are balanced by refreshingly, clean, zesty acidity. A wine to be enjoyed both in its youth or after several years bottle ageing. Try with oysters, fish and poultry, or simply as a deck chair wine when you’re not having a beer.

One of the coolest growing seasons of the past 100 years has produced red wines of great fruit intensity and richness of flavour. Our estate grown cabernet exhibits ripe blackberry and mulberry aromas with the Penna Lane trademark generous ripe fruit flavours balanced by elegant natural tannins. Maturation for 20 months in a combination of new, one and two year old French oak hogsheads adds further complexity to a well integrated wine with great depth of flavour. An excellent food wine that is ready to drink now but will reward careful cellaring. Great company for duck, game, lamb and beef dishes. 4.5 Stars Winestate, May 2008
As in previous vintages we have blended a small percentage of premium Barossa fruit with our estate grown shiraz. The resultant wine exhibits intense ripe cherry and chocolate aromas with lovely cedary oak complexities derived from maturation for 20 months in new and older American oak hogsheads. Generous rich fruit flavours impart volume and depth and are enhanced by soft, natural tannins. This wine is ready to be enjoyed now, but will benefit from extended bottle maturation. Try with a wide variety of full flavoured foods including beef, kangaroo, lamb and pasta.
