A quality red blend from the famous Barossa Valley region in South Australia. Nose: Plush aromas of red and black fruits. Palate: Complex and concentrated flavours of blackcurrants and blackberries that linger on to a long and juicy finish. Whilst ready to enjoy now, it will gain interest with careful cellaring. Reviews: Moderate ruby core. On the nose, there is a strong oak presence that is more commonly attributed to old-school Barossa styles - aromas of vanilla, dill as well a black cherry and blackcurrant fruit character. The fruit characters in the wine are subdued due to youth. The acidity on the palate is high and mouth watering, providing a structural counterpoint. There is a large quantity of fine tannin imparted by the oak and this balances the silky texture of the wine. The fruit is cabernet driven with lots of currants and a slight blackcurrant bush herbal note. Length is moderate plus.
