2008 Vintage - Shiraz is arguably the back bone of the Australia wine industry and grown in almost every area of the country. There is wide variation in shiraz styles across wine areas, from big ripe broad fruit to lean complex cool climate styles. Geographe with its warm slow ripening and cooler winters produces shiraz of delicious proportions, weighty with lovely textured flavours. Full flavoured but still refined with great balance and classic dark berry characters of cassis and juicy blackcurrant on the palate, good complexity runs throughout with balanced tannins and oak. The palate is full, with fruit flavours blending seamlessly with the cedary, cigar box French oak notes on the finish. Age 3-5 years
