Medium bodied dry red. Medium crimson in colour with some purple at the edge. A very complex nose with fragrant, almost ethereal, sweet fruit and cedary new oak. There are heaps of black fruits and charry oak and a little stalkiness. Round and soft structure with plenty of blackberry and cassis fruit flavours. The elegance and balance of this wine are its strengths. The flavours and structure are more evolved than its two Coonawarra partner wines and means that it will be drinking at its best over the next 3 or 4 years.
