Deep crimson still with a prominent purple edge. The fruit is ripe and perfumed with blueberry and black olives over the top of red currant and stalky fruit characters. These are complimented by mocha � like oak characters. Round and soft with the richness of sweet fruit flavours. This wine has the balance and richness seen in all the best Coonawarra Cabernets. There are soft, fine grain tannins and ample sweet fruit flavour to ensure a long cellar life. It will most probably be drinking at its best given at least 3 to 4 years in the cellar. It will almost certainly throw a crust over the next 2 or 3 years. With some age this wine will show increasing levels of cedar and cigar box characters.
