Angas Plains Estate

About us

Family owned and operated Angas Plains Estate vineyard has been developed on the floodplains of the Angas River. Dry for most of the year, this little waterway meanders through the country side in the G.I. region of Langhorne Creek, South Australia. The alluvial soils on the old river plains together with the temperate climate, provides an ideal environment for slow even ripening of beautiful fruit. This is the home of Angas Plains Estate PJs Series of boutique wines which was originally created for friends to enjoy. The grapes are picked at optimum fruit flavour and the red wines aged for 11 months in quality oak barriques. The small size of the fruit parcels chosen for the crush, give the wine maker the opportunity to develop the wines individual varietal characteristics of the grapes. As vignerons we Phillip and Judy Cross enjoy being amongst our grapevines. However, we believe that your enjoyment of the wines these grapes produce is paramount. We are proud of the wonderful flavours developed in our limited release wines and trust that you will be equally impressed.
